It has been difficult obtaining current information from D.R. Horton about The Estates at West Meadows.
Here are several updates that I personally observed this week.
The Estates at West Meadows sales trailer office did not open on April 28th as previously proposed by D.R. Horton. Also, it has moved from the area that the model homes are located to a new location on the West end of the development by the Truckee river and accessible by a new entrance by the bridge. The parking area for the sales trailer appears to be the area set aside for fisherman parking for the Truckee river. I’m taking a wild guess that the sales trailer will be open in 2-4 weeks.
An additional sales office will possibly be in the first model home garage space by the entrance to the development. This home is the model 2500 Plan for which they have put in a wall dividing the garage in half – I assume a sales office will occupy that space.
D.R. Horton has completed installation of sheetrock and a rough coat of plaster for the 2500 Plan of the single story homes. The remaining three single story and three 2 story homes will also have sheetrock installed soon.
Both single story and 2 story homes have heating vents, water, gas, drain and electrical wires and insulation installed in the walls and ceilings. My guess is that the models should be completely done in a month or two.
The entrance road and street between the models is ready for paving soon – they installed curbing and have graded for a road into the model home area – they should have it paved later this week.
Surprisingly, they are putting in foundations for homes in several different areas in the development. At least 10-20 more are underway now in addition to the 7 model homes.
Utility services are being installed on the West side of the development so after that’s finished they could start putting in foundations over there.
Hardscaping for lots has been completed on the East side of the development – construction could be started there soon.
No pricing information or availability of homes for purchase is available at this time.
I would appreciate that prospective buyers visit the sales office with me during the first visit to register me as your buyers agent so I can provide additional support during your buying process. Also, if you have any questions feel free to contact me.
